Black & Banton Ltd

Formerly Industrial Health Solutions Ltd (est. 2002), Black & Banton Ltd has developed from a specialist occupational health provider to a diversified organisation also delivering physical health services. Black & Banton Ltd was launched in May 2008.

David Black

David is an accredited Occupational Health Specialist Practitioner and Registered Osteopath with twelve years' experience covering a wide range of organisations and industries, both in the UK and overseas. David trained as an occupational health nurse and is a former Senior Manager of the North-East Ambulance Service (NHS Trust) and Director of Industrial Health Solutions Ltd. He is a Member of the British Osteopathic Association, Chartered Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (www.iosh.co.uk) and a leader in the field of bespoke occupational and physical health service provision. He specialises in sickness absence consultancy, psychological workplace wellbeing and ergonomics.

Mandy Banton

Mandy is a Registered Osteopath with a background in public sector human resources management and an interest in ergonomics and occupational health. She has undertaken research into ergonomic injury and won a prize for her university dissertation about workplace neck and shoulder pain. Mandy practices osteopathy at The Pilates Studio in Gosforth, Newcastle (www.thepilatesstudio.com) and at The Oldgate Osteopathic Clinic, Morpeth (www.oldgateclinic.co.uk). She is a Member of the British Osteopathic Association and the British Medical Acupuncture Society.

Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a safe and natural approach to healthcare – a system of evaluation, diagnosis and treatment that lays its main emphasis on the structural integrity of the body. Osteopaths are regulated by the General Osteopathic Council (www.osteopathy.org.uk).
